Selected players who received invitations can participate in five network tests before the game’s full release in May 2025. The initial two testing periods are scheduled for February 14 between 3 AM to 6 AM PT and 7 PM to 10 PM PT.
The third Network Test will begin on February 15 from 11 AM until 2 PM PT, while the last sessions are scheduled for February 16 from 3 AM to 6 AM PT and 7 PM to 10 PM PT.
Nightreign stands out from the first Elden Ring as it takes a new direction in design. Nightreign incorporates rogue-like mechanics, class-based combat, and battle royale elements like a shrinking game map.
In Elden Ring Nightreign, payers will explore procedurally generated content in a three-day in-game cycle. They can either play solo or in a three-player co-op. In the final, players will face a challenging boss encounter.
According to PCgamer, who played 3 hours of the game at the preview last month, “it’s more than a little jarring” to see the new “run-based, 3-player squad game about racing around the map and killing anything that moves.”
The players will play as different Nightfarers, the protagonists in the game. These Nightfarers will have individual capabilities and combat styles.
FromSoftware announced Nightreign at The Game Awards in 2024 as their second title in the Elden Ring series. The original game achieved the status of one of the highest-rated titles to date, so the upcoming title has created overwhelming anticipation.
PCgamer describes the game as simple as “jump in, kill stuff, and stack upgrades until the final boss”. The game is also reported as smaller than its predecessor
Although the outcome of the second part will be decided on May 30th, until then, some players will be lucky to have had a taste of it beforehand.
Until now, Elden Ring Nightreign’s release window seems to mainly clash with Doom: The Dark Ages. However, other TBA games may be released in the same month.
