Robert F. Kennedy Jr: Bitcoin is the currency of freedom for middle class Americans

Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Trump’s nominee for U.S. health secretary, says Bitcoin will be the American middle class’s secret weapon against inflation. The 2024 independent presidential candidate asserted that Bitcoin is the key to financial independence for the American populace.

RFK Jr (Bobby) said Bitcoin will be the best remedy against the dollar’s downgrade from the world’s reserve currency. He added that it will also be the offramp from a devastating national debt. According to Bobby, Howard Lutnick is the strongest advocate for Bitcoin and Trump’s best choice to head the U.S. Treasury compared to Scott Bessent.

Bitcoin will level the playing field for everyday, middle-class Americans

RFK Jr said on X that Bitcoin is a currency of freedom that will help America’s middle class combat inflation. His sentiments echoed his previous remarks at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, where he stated that Bitcoin is a technology for freedom, optimism, independence, and transparency. He pointed out that transactional independence is just as important as freedom of speech.

Bobby claimed that Bitcoin gave the middle class a shot at holding their ground in an economy that has been hard against them. He also said that he’d have liked to see small Bitcoin transactions exempted from taxation to protect the “overburdened” middle class.

RFK Jr stressed that Bitcoin takes control away from the government and the monopolistic banking system that shifts wealth upward to billionaires while impoverishing regular Americans.

Kennedy, who took the ‘we’re all in this together’ approach, said he was happy with Trump’s commitment to BTC. He revealed back in May that he had bought 21 BTC, including three for each of his children.

RFK Jr sides with Lutnick as Trump looks to appoint Treasury Secretary

Kennedy claimed that Lutnick will be a better U.S. Treasury Secretary appointee compared to Bessent. He was responding to Bass, who insisted that Bessent is eminently more qualified than Lutnick to run the U.S. Treasury.

According to Bass, Bessent is better than anyone else he has interacted with, and markets are already anticipating Bessent as the choice for the position. Bass explained that Bessent has a better understanding of geopolitics, markets, people, and economics while declaring that Lutnick is not Trump’s answer.

RFK Jr emphasized that Lutnick supports Trump’s policies more while pointing out that the Cantor Fitzgerald chair and CEO will be a far stronger advocate for Bitcoin and crypto in general. The Bitcoin Conference official X page also expressed support for Lutnick, pointing out that they couldn’t wait to invite him to the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas.

Musk also weighed in on the matter, saying that Bessent’s appointment to the position will be “business as usual.” Musk supports Kennedy’s views, adding that there is a need for real change since “business as usual” is bankrupting America.

RFK Jr hopes to resurrect Lutnick’s declining chances by discrediting his rival Scott.
