By the end of the BRICS summit, Putin has welcomed Trump over discussions that seek to end war in Ukraine.
On Thursday, 24th October at the BRICS summit, Putin acknowledged the “sincere” comments by Donald Trump, the Republican candidate.
He said while addressing the reporters that Trump “spoke about his desire to do everything to end the conflict in Ukraine. I think he is being sincere. Of course we welcome statements like this, whoever they come from”.
This statement by Putin is a pivotal moment that showcases the willingness of the Russian president to resolve the ongoing war since the invasion of Russia in Ukraine in February 2022.
