GameFreak, the developer of Pokemon has allegedly been hacked. The hack has leaked inside information regarding future Pokemon announcements and even a codename for Nintendo Switch 2.

As Nintendo Life reported, the codename of Nintendo’s next-generation console (currently known as Nintendo Switch 2) is mentioned as “Ounce” in the leaks. Including this the codename “Gaia” is for the future 10th generation Pokemon game, which hasn’t yet been announced. There is a codename for the announced Pokemon Legends: ZA as “Ikkaku” as well.

The codenames for future Pokemon 10th generation games are mentioned as “K” and “N”. This could imply Nintendo’s plans to release the game as cross gen title for both consoles, the current Switch and the future one.
