Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Metal Products&Machinery and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE), which rose 7.62% or 14.30 points to trade at 202.00 at the close. EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) added 7.21% or 3.08 points to end at 45.80 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 6.29% or 6.60 points to 111.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which lost 3.33% or 7.20 points to trade at 208.80 in late trade. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 2.48% or 2.35 points to end at 92.25 and Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) shed 2.42% or 0.32 points to 12.91.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 303 to 254 and 20 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.77% or 45.55 to $2,615.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.53% or 1.69 to hit $68.61 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.46% or 1.75 to trade at $72.79 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.52% to 34.60, while EUR/TRY rose 0.33% to 36.61.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 106.42.
