Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil&Gas, Energy and Developers sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 11.37% or 19.80 points to trade at 194.00 at the close. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) added 6.23% or 0.41 points to end at 7.02 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 4.45% or 2.26 points to 53.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Allegro (WA:ALEP), which lost 11.33% or 3.98 points to trade at 31.14 in late trade. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 6.86% or 0.60 points to end at 8.07 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) shed 2.46% or 3.30 points to 130.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 307 to 223 and 95 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.22% or 0.15 to $68.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.26% or 0.19 to hit $72.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 5.60 to trade at $2,580.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.34% to 4.32, while USD/PLN fell 0.43% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 106.41.
