Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.28%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Distributors, Mining and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.28%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maghreb Oxygene (CSE:MOX), which rose 6.67% or 15.00 points to trade at 240.00 at the close. Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) added 4.81% or 1.56 points to end at 33.98 and Med Paper (CSE:MDP) was up 2.84% or 0.57 points to 20.67 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Miniere Touissit (CSE:CMT), which lost 3.27% or 52.00 points to trade at 1,540.00 in late trade. CFG Bank SA (CSE:CFG) declined 3.00% or 6.00 points to end at 194.00 and Marocaine pour le Commerce et l’Industrie Banque SA (CSE:BCI) shed 2.56% or 15.00 points to 570.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 20 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.01% or 0.69 to $68.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.96% or 0.69 to hit $72.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 1.90 to trade at $2,615.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.42% to 10.54, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.03% to 9.93.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 105.86.
