Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which rose 4.44% or 400.00 points to trade at 9,400.00 at the close. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) added 4.05% or 700.00 points to end at 17,980.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) was up 2.41% or 40.00 points to 1,700.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p), which lost 2.50% or 11.00 points to trade at 429.00 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p) declined 2.49% or 360.00 points to end at 14,100.00 and Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) shed 1.84% or 70.00 points to 3,725.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 4.00% or 9.95 to $258.70 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 4.87% or 337.00 to hit $7,261.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.43% or 38.20 to trade at $2,714.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.05% to 4,322.36, while BRL/COP fell 2.29% to 759.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 104.23.
