Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Oil&Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 5.40% or 0.47 points to trade at 9.09 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 4.24% or 2.70 points to end at 66.45 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) was up 4.17% or 2.80 points to 69.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which lost 2.20% or 0.90 points to trade at 40.10 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.09% or 0.48 points to end at 43.50 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 0.69% or 0.03 points to 4.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 68 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.36% or 0.27 to $75.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.28% or 0.20 to hit $71.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.97% or 25.90 to trade at $2,702.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 104.36.
