Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC (AT:BOCHGRr), which rose 4.02% or 0.17 points to trade at 4.40 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 1.64% or 0.01 points to end at 0.31 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) was up 1.43% or 0.40 points to 28.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intralot (AT:INLr), which lost 5.72% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.94 in late trade. Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) declined 3.03% or 0.05 points to end at 1.73 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) shed 2.81% or 0.08 points to 2.59.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 42 and 22 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.08% or 28.90 to $2,705.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.46% or 0.33 to hit $71.36 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.27 to trade at $74.65 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.82% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 104.16.
