Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Wholesale&Retail Trade, Food&Beverages and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL), which rose 10.00% or 27.50 points to trade at 302.50 at the close. Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) added 9.99% or 39.75 points to end at 437.75 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was up 9.96% or 17.70 points to 195.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which lost 10.00% or 1.97 points to trade at 17.73 in late trade. Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL) declined 3.67% or 2.50 points to end at 65.65 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) shed 3.02% or 1.85 points to 59.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 453 to 111 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.51% or 69.00 to $2,680.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.63% or 0.45 to hit $71.54 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.86% or 0.65 to trade at $74.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.23% to 34.23, while EUR/TRY fell 2.06% to 36.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.62% at 105.00.
