Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.33%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment&Services, Pharma Biotech&Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.33%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 6.03% or 0.25 points to trade at 4.45 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 5.67% or 12.70 points to end at 236.50 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 3.87% or 5.10 points to 136.80 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which lost 4.41% or 2.45 points to trade at 53.15 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 2.00% or 4.80 points to end at 234.80 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) shed 1.80% or 3.55 points to 193.45.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 148 to 127 and 40 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.77% or 1.24 to $71.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.59% or 1.18 to hit $75.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 17.25 to trade at $2,756.15 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.30% to 11.81, while USD/NOK fell 0.17% to 10.93.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 103.85.
