Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Information Technology, Media and Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP), which rose 5.85% or 19.90 points to trade at 359.90 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 5.30% or 4.45 points to end at 88.35 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 4.39% or 0.41 points to 9.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which lost 5.66% or 0.62 points to trade at 10.34 in late trade. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) declined 3.63% or 0.46 points to end at 12.07 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) shed 2.98% or 1.72 points to 55.98.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 289 to 209 and 102 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.29% or 2.45 to $76.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.18% or 2.48 to hit $80.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.55 to trade at $2,668.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.27% to 4.32, while USD/PLN rose 0.25% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 102.21.
