Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 1.46% or 2.20 points to trade at 149.50 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 0.45% or 1.20 points to end at 266.30 and Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) was down 0.10% or 0.10 points to 100.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which lost 3.08% or 6.50 points to trade at 204.70 in late trade. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) declined 2.77% or 1.50 points to end at 51.90 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) shed 2.55% or 2.65 points to 101.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 472 to 270 and 84 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.31% or 3.02 to $73.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 4.09% or 3.02 to hit $76.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.95 to trade at $2,668.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.28% to 11.37, while USD/SEK rose 0.56% to 10.32.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 101.81.
