Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.75%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment&Services, Pharma Biotech&Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.75%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG), which rose 3.10% or 32.00 points to trade at 1,064.00 at the close. Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) added 3.06% or 1.00 points to end at 33.70 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) was up 2.70% or 6.10 points to 232.30 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which lost 6.33% or 6.75 points to trade at 99.90 in late trade. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 6.01% or 0.30 points to end at 4.69 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) shed 2.97% or 0.39 points to 12.58.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 143 to 143 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.49% or 2.38 to $70.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.31% or 2.37 to hit $74.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 21.40 to trade at $2,680.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 11.73, while USD/NOK rose 0.40% to 10.59.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.91.
