Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.64% or 0.09 points to trade at 14.17 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) added 0.47% or 0.05 points to end at 10.72 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.38% or 0.18 points to 47.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO), which lost 8.18% or 1.59 points to trade at 17.84 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 4.46% or 0.51 points to end at 10.81 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 3.23% or 0.29 points to 8.64.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 55 and 27 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.44% or 0.33 to $74.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $71.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.28% or 33.50 to trade at $2,648.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.46.
