Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Oil&Gas and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 1.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Allegro (WA:ALEP), which rose 1.00% or 0.36 points to trade at 35.83 at the close. Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) added 0.60% or 15.00 points to end at 2,500.00 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 0.48% or 0.70 points to 146.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which lost 5.19% or 770.00 points to trade at 14,080.00 in late trade. Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) declined 5.06% or 16.80 points to end at 315.30 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) shed 4.36% or 34.50 points to 756.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 297 to 206 and 104 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.39% or 0.28 to $70.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.57% or 0.43 to hit $74.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 29.70 to trade at $2,644.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.01% to 4.27, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.08% to 3.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 100.60.
