Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Forestry&Paper and Beverage sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.44% to hit a new 5-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Itissalat Al-Maghrib (CSE:IAM), which rose 3.59% or 3.25 points to trade at 93.70 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA) added 3.33% or 0.50 points to end at 15.50 and Wafa Assurance (CSE:WAA) was up 2.38% or 100.00 points to 4,300.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which lost 6.33% or 30.90 points to trade at 457.10 in late trade. S2M (CSE:S2M) declined 6.21% or 15.90 points to end at 240.00 and Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) shed 2.21% or 0.87 points to 38.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 22 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.10% or 0.07 to $71.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $74.85 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 26.70 to trade at $2,641.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.12% to 10.82, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.05% to 9.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 100.67.
