Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr), which rose 2.65% or 0.85 points to trade at 32.95 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 2.40% or 0.12 points to end at 5.12 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was up 2.08% or 0.20 points to 9.83 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr), which lost 2.06% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.91 in late trade. Alumil (AT:ALMr) declined 1.58% or 0.05 points to end at 2.80 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) shed 1.42% or 0.08 points to 5.56.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 62 to 53 and 24 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.21% or 5.45 to $2,603.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.38% or 0.95 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.11% or 0.81 to trade at $73.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 100.52.
