Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Banking and Oil&Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 3.20% or 0.52 points to trade at 16.76 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 1.98% or 0.21 points to end at 10.83 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) was up 1.46% or 11.00 points to 764.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which lost 4.30% or 0.99 points to trade at 22.01 in late trade. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 3.05% or 4.50 points to end at 143.00 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) shed 2.89% or 4.45 points to 149.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 283 to 189 and 122 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.08% or 2.80 to $65.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.48% or 2.50 to hit $69.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 11.05 to trade at $2,543.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.22% to 4.28, while USD/PLN rose 0.30% to 3.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 101.63.
