Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 7.08% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.36 at the close. Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr) added 4.49% or 0.46 points to end at 10.70 and Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) was up 4.49% or 0.10 points to 2.21 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which lost 1.64% or 0.16 points to trade at 9.62 in late trade. Austriacard Holdings AG (AT:ACAGr) declined 1.50% or 0.09 points to end at 5.90 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) shed 1.32% or 0.04 points to 2.62.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 62 to 55 and 25 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.64% or 16.20 to $2,511.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.07% or 2.99 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 4.50% or 3.49 to trade at $74.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 101.71.
