Info of Chainlink
Chainlink, a blockchain-based cryptocurrency network that provides a link between real-world data and smart contracts. Chainlink was launched in 2017 by software engineer Sergey Nazarov, who envisioned a decentralized oracle network that could securely and reliably deliver external data to blockchain platforms. To put it more simply, Chainlink helps connect Blockchain to the real world. The blockchain's inability to connect to external data to perform data evaluation operations has created a major barrier. However, the emergence of Chainlink solved the entire problem, creating a breakthrough in many blockchain fields. An oracle is a software that translates external data into a language that smart contracts can understand (and vice versa).
Chainlink's native token is LINK, which is used to pay for the services of the Chainlink network operators and to participate in the network's governance. Currently, ChainLink (LINK) is running on Ethereum's Blockchain platform according to the ERC-677 standard.
Chainlink has attracted a lot of interest from both retail and institutional investors, who see it as a potential solution to the "oracle problem" of blockchain, which is the challenge of connecting blockchains to real-world events and information. Chainlink has also received support from prominent crypto projects, such as Google Cloud, Oracle, and SWIFT.
