Canadian PM Carney declares victory in election

Canadian Prime Minister (PM) Mark Carney came out on the wires and declared a victory in the federal election on Tuesday.
Carney said that he “looks forward to working constructively with all parties across parliament.”
Market reaction
USD/CAD holds higher ground near 1.3870 following his comments, up 0.30% on the day. The pair sustains the rebound as the Canadian Dollar (CAD) remains under intense selling pressure on prospects of the ruling Liberal Party forming a minority government.
