Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the former CEO of Binance, has unveiled his vision for X Agent. This is an AI (artificial intelligence)-driven tool designed to enhance social media engagement.
The AI bot would mimic a user’s persona on X (formerly Twitter) and generate personalized content and interactions based on their style and preferences.
In a detailed explanation on Binance Square, Zhao outlined the project in two phases.
“Phase 1 – Tweet like You. By examining your previous tweets, analyzing your tweeting style, current events, and trending topics, the bot suggests tweets tailored to you,” CZ wrote.
He further elaborated that the bot would examine tweets’ style, tone, and overall feel using the X API and advanced AI algorithms. This will help the agent generate content that matches the user’s typical way of tweeting. In addition, with continued use, the bot would be able to refine its recommendations, ensuring a consistent, authentic tone.
The project’s second phase would expand the AI’s capabilities. This would include tweet summarization, response generation (supportive, neutral, or against), and flagging of risky content. The bot will also analyze trending moods, offer timely responses, identify popular tweets for retweets, and craft engaging comments to boost visibility.
According to CZ, future improvements may extend the bot’s functionality to other messaging platforms, such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, and others. Here, it may assist users in handling unwanted interactions by automating replies.
That’s not all. To monetize the bot, CZ proposed a freemium model. The free tier offers five trial tweets, allowing users to test the bot’s capabilities.
A Pro package would be available for those seeking more extensive use priced at 0.015 BNB (BNB) (approximately $0.10) per tweet. Moreover, bulk purchase options would be available for deeper training and enhanced performance.
“I’ve come across several projects attempting this concept, but none have truly impressed me. At YZiLabs, we are eager to fund a project capable of generating high-quality tweets,” he added.
Notably, shortly after his post, Holoworld AI, a decentralized AI character marketplace, revealed that “CZ AI Agent” had already been built. The bot emulates CZ’s own tweeting style.
“The old CZ AI agent is already here, powered by Holoworld AI,” the bot replied.
The platform also announced plans to enhance its existing technology by introducing a system that continuously generates tweet ideas and delivers them directly to users via direct messages (DMs).
This would enable users to remain on the platform without interruption. Once fully implemented, the feature would allow for easy, one-click generation of tweet ideas, creating a more streamlined and interactive user experience.
“Co-creating with AI should feel fun and this is exactly where AI excels right now,” they added.
Interestingly, CZ’s proposal came after he advocated for banning bots on X.
“I think X should ban all bots. I only want to interact with humans here (not “Automated”),” he posted on March 9.
CZ emphasized that automated API posting should be disabled. However, he believes that leveraging AI tools to generate content is acceptable as long as the user manually posts it.
Recently, he also criticized AI agent developers for prioritizing tokens over building useful agents. Zhao stated that a token is unnecessary in 99.95% of the cases. He advised launching a token only when a solid product-market fit exists.
This perspective comes at a time when the AI Agents sector is facing challenges. According to CoinGecko data, the overall market capitalization of AI agents has dropped by 15.8% in the past 24 hours.
The majority of the tokens are seeing losses. Freysa AI (FAI) experienced the steepest decline among the top 10, losing 22.7%.
